HARDING, Warren G. (1865-1923). 29th President of the United States. Harding, a former publisher, was a staunch defender of the status quo, particularly when it came to leaving big business alone. Typed Letter Signed, “WG Harding” 1p. octavo, on United States Senate lettersheet, Marion, Ohio, July 20, 1920, addressed to Rev. Howard Bridgman, and readsin part: “...In the mail today I am sending an autographed photograph that will comply with the request made in your letter. If it is acceptable to you, I really prefer to autograph the photograph itself instead of writing the inscription on a slip to be pasted thereon. I should really like you to conveny my very cordial compliments to your wife. Mrs. Harding and I were married in the month of July, twenty-nine years ago...” VG.
