C., Mar. 19, 1863, in part: "…I am running an engine at the condenser, but am going to have charge of a brass foundry at Seabrook…I want you to send my tool chest with everything in it…direct…Hilton Head, S. C. 9th Maine Vols sat. engineer at condenser care of Capt. King master…after a few months. If this business continues I can get my discharge…Daniel D. Barrows. PS I send by [Lt.] Kelley a thing they called a picture. The best they can do here". VG
