War-date Union discharge for Thomas Thacker “private of Captain Eli Hughes Company, (K) Sixth Regiment of Mo. State Militia Cav.” 1pp. quarto, St. Louis, Missiouri, January 24, 1865, signed by Captain John A. Thompson, 4th US Cavalry, who was brevetted major on June 26, 1863 for gallantry at the battle of Hoover’s Gap, Tennessee, and was later killed by desperadoes near Fort Mason, Texas in November 1867. Additionally signed by Lieutenant William Perkins, 6th Missiouri Cavalry. Very good condition.
