Confederate imprint “Report of Engagement with Small Boat of the Enemy, on Crooked River.” 1pp. quarto, Wakulla County, May 21, 1862, being the report by H.T. Blocker, Captain of the Beauregard Rangers, to Brigadier General Joseph Finegan, in part: “... I discovered a boat leaving the blockading vessel and approaching the mout of [Crooked] river. I immediately palced my men in ambush on Carr’s hill, and when the boat came opposite, we opened fire on the enemy, and killed or wounded all the party of twenty-one, except four...” Fine condition.
