Elliot who served in the Kentucky Calvary where he was captured in Morgan’s Raid and later exchanged. At this time he isdetached as escort to General John S. Williams. On the report he requests 61 jackets, 67 pair of pants, 134 drawers, 134 shirts, 51 pir of shoes, 86 blankets, stating in part, ““These men are destitute of clothing...”
