War-date Union soldier’s Autograph Letter Signed by A.B. Waller, Special Agent, P.O. Dept., Fortress Monroe, Virginia, December 15, 1861, addressed to General Wool, and reads “The Post Office Department, propose to have a mail made up every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday at Earlville, Northampton County, Va and sent to Cherry Stone by a messenger, provided it is convenient for you to have a boat sent over the same days to meet the messenger with a mail fro this place and exchange Pouches....” Fine condition.
