Reports on proceedings of the Rebel Congress, Battle of Sugar Creek, occupation of Columbus, fight at Newport News, Panic at Memphis, hard fight at Arkansas, evacuation of Manassas, war in New Mexico, great battle at Pea Ridge (Ark.), battle at Hampton Roads, occupation of Winchester, punishment of treason in Maryland, evacuation of New Madrid, and tons more news reports and opinions and commentary. News from North and South and all war fronts. These near-horseblanket size issues have been removed as a group from a volume. There are some edge tears and in the spine. Last page is missing portion of the page, but it’s of advertising, not to affect content in this very historical Civil War series of newspaper.
