Autograph Document Signed “C.M. Kirkland” 1pp. octavo, New York, March 1864, and reads in part: “...How can we ever be thankful enough to our Almighty Ruler for giving us such a man as Abraham Lincoln to be our President in this time of our national trial! But in giving us a man, rough and unpolished perhaps, but true as steel; unselfish; God fearing, patriotic and endowed with the best of sense...” Mounted, else very good.
