He is best known for his victory at the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish–American War....plus; Clipped signature and cabinet card photograph of Charles Vernon Gridley (1844-1898) was an officer in the United States Navy during the American Civil War and the Spanish–American War...plus; Signed Card “N.M. Dyer Captain U.S Navy U.S.S. ‘Baltimore’ off Manila P.I. Oct 21st, 1898” Nehemiah Mayo Dyer (aka. N. Mayo Dyer) (1839-1910) was a Rear Admiral in United States Navy, who served during the American Civil War and Spanish–American War. He is one of the few individuals to have served in both the Battle of Mobile Bay during the Civil War and the Battle of Manila Bay during the Spanish–American War....plus; Signed card “B.P. Lamberton Captain U.S. Navy Comdg. U.S. S ‘Olympia’ Manila May 1st and Aug 13 ‘98” Benjamin Peffer Lamberton (1844-1912) was a rear admiral in the United States Navy, who served in the Spanish–American War....plus; several others, includes large format photograph of the U.S.S. Olympia, and arm band “U.S.F. OLYMPIA.” Very good condition.
