War-date General Orders No. 206, Washington, December 17, 1862, where “Frederick Letz, teamster” is found guilty of the charge of murder and sentenced to be hanged. Frederick Letz at Camp Hamilton, Elizabeth City, Virginia, on the 22d day of September, A.D. 1862, did unlawfully and maliciously shoot and kill a colored man whose name is unknown...” Fine condition.
