NAGLEE, Henry Morris (1815-1886) was a civil engineer, banker, vintner, and a Union General in the American Civil War. War-date Autograph Letter Signed “Naglee B.G. Comdg” 1pp. quarto, Head Quarters, Yorktown, November 22, 1862, and reads “Collect together all negroes that have not some responsible citizen to respond for them and send them forthwith with a guard to Newport News...” Fine condition.
