Henry Bell, 73rd New York and judge-advocate & Lt. James H. Lockwood, 120th New York, acting aide de camp] being wounded, one I am afraid mortally. [Bell surveyed his wounds and was discharged at the end of his service in 1865 while Lockwood was discharged because of his wounds in January 1865.] I was riding over the battlefield with him when he was shot.
