War-date Union soldier Autograph Letter Signed by Charles Hubbard, 27th Maine, 4pp. octavo, on nice leattersheet depicting Abraham Lincoln and George McClellan viewing the troops, December 9, 1862, Camp Seward, Virginia, and reads in part: “...I suppose you have seen a good deal said about the Rebel Gen. Lee . Well I have been on his plantation. We are encmaped on his ground now. He owns a great deal of land. Our head officers make it there head quarters at his house. It is right in sight of the city of Washington. You know it was confiscated from him...” Fine condition....plus; Unissued patriotic cover with image of General McClellan. Fine condition. (2 items)
