War-date Autograph Letter Signed by Edwin Burr Babbitt (1804-1881) brevet brigadier general, 1pp. quarto, on rare “Deputy Quartermaster General’s Office, San Francisco, Cal.” stationery, November 18, 1864, addressed to Captin Morrill, 3rd Infantry California Volunteers, Camp Douglass, Utah Territory, and reads in part: “...balance your old company account by taking credit on the return of all that is necessary to effect that, somewhat in this way ‘By articles transfered to my company ‘B’ 3d Infy C.V.’...” Fine condition.
