This draftsman schmatic shows the Logan Airport expansion with the planned taxi strips as well as future taxi strips. The blueprint is slightly hand-colored, identified to the Department of Public Works, May 1944, and signed by the engineer, Everett Hutchins. 21” x 25,” fine.In June, 1943, the Massachusettes legislature took up a proposal for a $4.2 million bond issue for the funding of the airport’s growth. The proposal also carried an amendment to rename the airport. The bond issue and the new name – General Edward Lawrence Logan Airport (a Spanish–American War officer from South Boston) - were signed into law on June 12, 1943.
