Again, this print was executed by Peter Max in very small quanties to be sold through Benefit Auctions to raise money for the Katrina Relief Fund. A Rare Large original mixed media offset lithograph with hand-painted acrylic details on paper by well-listed and renowned Pop artist Peter Max, titled “Katrina Relief”. This beautiful Ppece of art depicts a printed image of the United States Capitol, surrounded by a solid hand-painted cerulean blue field with a small map displaying Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. To the left of the capitol, a charming rendition of the American flag. Above the Capitol, an enormous heart levitates among three Southern flowers embellished with vivid color and energetic mark-making. The piece is executed with “Max” signature color spectrum, lower right. Presented in a large gold painted wood frame, the top mounted art is 18” x 24”. Comes with a COA. Fine
