ROOSEVELT, Franklin D. (1882-1945). 32nd President of the United States, 1933-1945. Ushered in the New Deal and led America for most of WWII. Signed Bas-Relief Flag, “Franklin Roosevelt” on 48 star American flag, color, +-/ 1/2 relief, 12” x 9”. The signature is dark, sharp and large. Fascinating piece. On June 22, 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt approved House Joint Resolution 303 codifying the existing customs and rules governing the display and use of the flag of the United States by civilians.
