NEGLEY, James Scott (1826-1901) was an American Civil War General, farmer, railroader, and U.S. Representative from the state of Pennsylvania. He played a key role in the Union victory at the Battle of Stones River. Document Signed "James S. Negley" being a New York Pittsburg Chicago Railway Company first mortgage bond, issued in 1881. With many coupons present. Fine condition.
