Very good condition...plus; Scott Shipp (1839-1917) Confederate Lieutenant Colonel, who was Commandant of Cadets at VMI, WIA at the Battle of New Market in 1864, with rank and "Serve Confederate Army ordered to Institute by Secty of War commanded cadets in Battle of New Market May 15, 1864." Fine condition...plus; Joseph F. Shipp, Confederate captain, founder of United Confederate Veterans tried before U.S. Supreme Court for role in lynching. Fine condition...plus; Edwin W. Price (1834-1908) on typed brief biography that had him listed as "Private- Captain- Lieut. Colonel, Colonel, and Brig. General In the Southern Army." Fine condition...plus; James Rogers (1838-1920) with rank, Confederate captain who helped raise the Kentucky Mounted Rifles in 1862. Very good condition....plus; L.B. Smith Confederate with "C.S.A. 1864" in pencil, else very good condition.
