REYNOLDS, Alexander Welch (1816-1876) was a career United States Army officer who served in the Mexican-American War and a Confederate Army brigadier general during the American Civil War, primarily fighting in the Western Theater. After the conflict he served as a staff officer in the Egyptian Army. War-date Confederate Autograph Document Signed "A.W. Reynolds Lt. Col. Comdg" 1pp. small quarto, Lenoir Station, Tennessee, June 19, 1862, being a receipt for lumber "for flooring Bridge at London." Fine condition.
