This is a scarce and collectible 1835 copy of President Andrew Jackson's State of Union Address Dated December, 1835. Titled, "Message from the President of the United States to the Two Houses of Congress." Printed at the Office of the Sun, Washington D.C., disbound but intact. There is some light age foxing, measures about 5.5" x 8.5". This 1835 "State of the Union" Address devoted primarily to the issue of relations with France, and America's disagreements over the 1831 Treaty providing for French payment of "claims of American citizens for spoliations during the Napoleonic wars."
