for the 1st Georgia Infantry Regiment, State Line, organized at Camp McDonald, Big Shanty on February 21, 1863. Two cavalry companies were assigned to the regiment at various times in 1865/65. They were surrendered by Governor Brown on May 7th, 1865. They were engaged in the Atlanta Campaign, New Hope Church, Peach Tree Creek, Atlanta, Siege of Atlanta, Utoy Creek, Jonesboro, Griswoldville, Honey Hill, Savannah Campaign, Savannah and Columbus. The ladders steps are, Company K, 1st, Ga., S.L. C.S.A. The badge is housed an attractive a deep shadow box frame with double mat and complete description.
