for Co. C., 1st Georgia Vols, Cavalry Regiment, which was assembled 1861, Rome Georgia. The unit took an active part in Bragg's Kentucky Campaign. It also fought at Murfreesboro, Chickamauga, Knoxville, and Atlanta campaigns. When the regiment surrendered with the Army of Tennessee, it had fewer than 50 officers and men. The five ladder step badge, Co, C, 1, Georgia, Vol. Cav., C.S.A. The badge is housed an attractive a deep shadow box frame with double mat and complete description.
