c. 1775 American Revolutionary War Era, Gang Type Multiple Bullet Mold, Hand-Forged Brass, Very Fine. This original Gang style Bullet Mold measures 5.5" long and hinged with twenty-two (22) smaller pellet sized bullet or shot cavities, lacking the typical wooden handles. This scarce type is similar to an example pictured in Neumann's reference book, "Battle Weapons of the American Revolution" (1998) illustrated on page 21, also see page 190 of "Collector's Illustrated Encyclopedia of the American Revolution." Wonderful natural rich dark patina, with a prior museum or collector's hand-printed mark on one side "6800". A very nice example for collectors of Revolutionary War militaria.
