First Edition booklet published by Bay Area Committee to Defend Political Freedom, Berkeley, CA. 1968, 20pp. 7" x 9-3/4", VG. Contents reprinted from articles originally appearing during the summer of 1968 in The People's World, detailing Rosebury's coverage of the Huey Newton trial beginning on July 20th and concluding on September 14th. Contains detailed reportage as the case unfolded, with a preface by the author specifically for this publication. OCLC shows 17 institutional holdings in the US. Newton was on trial for murder but convicted of manslaughter. The conviction was overturned on appeal.
