This original Carte de Visite Photograph shows a portrait of Alexander H. Stephens in chest-up pose, with maker's back stamp, "PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTISTS J. GURNEY & SON, 707 BROADWAY, N.Y." A very clean CDV with excellent contrast and tone to the image for display. Quite rare.
