HENRY, PATRICK (1736-1799). Revolutionary patriot; Statesman; Virginia governor. Document Signed, 2 pages, 1798. Memorandum of Agreement between Patrick Henry of Charlotte County and Payne Harrison & Co. Merchant of Campbell Count we is as follows: The said Patrick Henry hath delivered unto the hands of said Payne Harrison & Co. two bonds given by the Honble. James Wilson, Esquire payable to thw said Patrick Henry…The said Payne Harrison and Co. do agree that they will give and execute unto said Patrick Henry their own bond or bonds on demand…” Signed at the conclusion by “Henry”. The usual initial “P” of his name is missing as their has been paper loss that was professionally repaired. The mmonth/dta is also missing. Hen did add a witness line in his hand of which a portion is also missing. An interesting document displaying Henry’s business dealings and offering an inexpensive opportunity to acquire his autograph.
