Datelined On The Field, May 13th/64. In part, “I am still safe through the mercy of God. Have been in two desparate battles but ubtoughed. Calvin Galloway is missing. ... Severla were captured. Genl. McGowan wounded - Col. Miller slightly wounded. A.C. Johnson the same ... Remember me at the alter ...”
