DEKAY, Drake (1836-1886), aide-de-camp to General Joseph K.F. Mansfield, was commissioned 1st Lieutenant 14th Infantry on May 14, 1861. By 1864, he had received promotions to captain, major and lieutenant colonel for gallant and meritorious service at the battles of the Wilderness and Spotsylvania. Three Documents Signed " "Drake De Kay" each 1pp, on official “Head Quarters Defences of Washington" each issueing a furlough for a named soldier in the NY 108th Vols. All VG.
