Robert Ould (1820-1882) was a lawyer who served as a Confederate official during the American Civil War. From 1862 to 1865 he was the Confederate agent of exchange for prisoners of war under the Dix-Hill Cartel. Autograph Letter Signed "Ro: Ould" , 5" x 3" Richmond, Va., Sept. 11th 1879, to Mrs. Geo. M. Moulton, fine. In large part, "During the war I was Confederate Agent Or Commissioner of Exchange of Prisoners - appointed in Aug, 1862 and continuing to the close of the war."
