Adelbert Ames 1835-1933 Union brigadier general awarded the Medal of Honor for service at Bull Run, later led a division at Gettysburg and Fort Fisher. Document Signed, issued Raleigh NC, April 22, 1865 by the 97th PA Vols requested a variety of items. The document has clean fold splits (reparable) with the General's signature on the reverse, "Approved A.Ames, Bvt. Maj. Gen."
