Rare Union regimental newspaper, "THE CAMP KETTLE," Beaufort SC., May 1, 1862, Volume 1, No. 11, 4pp. 8vo., published by the field and staff of the 100th (Roundhead) Penn. Vols. with masthead bearing the motto: "We Know Only Our Country". Front page report "Battle of Wilmington Island" runs fully on page 1 and page 4. "Our loss, I regret to say was comparatively high; Ten killed, 35 wounded out of a command of 300 men of whom not more than two hundred were engaged..."
