Two page receipt on Cincinnati Branch, U.S. Christian Commission, dated December 7, 1864 in which E.A. Lyn acknowledges contribution of "Two Boxes of Hospital and Sanitary Stores" with a note. "Many Thanks. There is a demand now for articles for the wounded and we want all we can get ..." Comes with original cover. The United States Christian Commission (USCC) was an organization that furnished supplies, medical services, and religious literature to Union troops during the American Civil War.
