A remarkable Ivory Syringe with its Original Wood two-piece Case. The 4-1/2" ivory syringe has its moveable plunger. The very narrow tip was used to siphon off blood or extract a build-up of pus from a patient's wound. The wood tubular case has a tight fitting dome. Great condition. nd, c 1700
