From the front page of the June 17, 1862 issue is a 10" x 6-1/2" map "The Approach to Mobile, Vicinity of Forts Morgan & Gaines and the Entrance to Mobile Bay", with brief report below the map. ... plus, From the front page of the August 31, 1863 issue is a10" x 9" map, "Chattanooga and its Defenses". Also front page report, "500,000 Slaves Called For" with a brief report, "... Jeff Davis has decided to call out 500,000 black troops who are to receive their freedom and fifty acres of land at the end of the war."
