A complete and authentic issue of the Gentleman’s Magazine (London), December 1760, 48pp., disbound, VG. From the interior, “Philadelphia Sept 4” reports the murder of a pool player. In part, “Mr. Robert Scull of this place, with some company was playing at billards, when one Mr. Bruluman, lately an officer in the Royal American regiment,... without the least provocation, levelled a loaded gun he had with him and shot Mr. Scull thro' the body as he was going to strike his ball, for which he was afterwards tried, and on the 8th of October executed. ...” Report runs 1/2 page. Then, a full page engraving “The North west Prospect of the Carisbrook Castle ...” which accompanied with a 1/2 page history of the castle.
