An outstanding image of Major Anderson holding his fancy plumed hat with sword in a Napoleonic pose. Minuscule clip to top corners, great image clarity and detail with caption on carte beneath image reading: "MAJOR ANDERSON, U.S.A. - TAKEN AT FORT SUMTER FEB'Y 8, 1861, - Published By E. Anthony, 501 Broadway..." A scarce impressive image on a great extensively printed card that is superior for display.
