Beautifully presented in a deep frame, this silver ladder badge was issue to Private D(rew).E(lvin). Williams as engraved on the badge. The first rung “:Co. B., linked to the second rung, 14” GA., linked to the third rung, “Vol. Ing., War 1861, with a CSA Flag. Williams enlisted 7/9/1861 and surrendered at Appomattox Court House, April 9, 1865.
