William Heron William Heron (1742-1819). A Revolutionary War double agent, Heron betrayed secrets purely for money. Heron was involved with Arnold and Andre. His dealings did not become known until a century after his death, when the British declassified some papers. Partially Printed Document Signed, "Wm. Heron." One page, 7 1/2" x 3". Hartford. May 12, 1789. The document acknowledges receipt of one pound, seven shillings, seven pence being the interest due on 1 state note totaling £8.16.6. Fine
