Manuscript Document Signed, 1p. oblong octavo, Hartford, Connecticut, August 19, 1760, being a receipt for 167 pounds. VG. Roger Sherman (1721-1793) was a signer of the United States' Declaration of Independence and a member of the committee that drafted it, a member of the committee that drafted the Articles of Confederation, and signed the United States' Constitution as a representative of Connecticut. He was the only Member of the Continental Congress who signed the Declaration of 1774, the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation, and the Federal Constitution.
