Silk ribbon, 4-1/4" x 8", memorializing the death of "President Zachary Taylor, Born in 1784, Died July 9th, 1850". Dramatically presented with a Gold-embossed eagle holding an American Flag with profile of Taylor also in gold. "The last coherent words of the venerable patriot, President Zachary Tailor [sic]: 'I die--I am expecting the summons--I am ready to meet death-- I have endeavored faithfully to discharge my duty --I am sorry to leave my friends!"
