MASON, Thaddeus (1706-1802) Patriot school teacher whose house in Charlestown, Mass. was burned by the British. He was private secretary to Gov. Belcher; Deputy Naval Officer, 1736, and Clerk of Courts for 55 years. Autograph Note Signed “Thad Mason” 2p. folio, March 10, 1784, on verso of a 1779 Concord Massachusetts land conveyance, between Timothy and Ester Wesson and Timothy Brooks. Complete separation at top fold, does not affect Mason’s note, else about VG.
