Complete, authentic issue of Frank Leslie’s Illustrated, November 22, 1862, 16pp., disbound, VG. From the interior, a full page engraving, “The Camp Of The Contrabands On The Bank Of The Mississippi, Fort Pickering, Memphis Tenn.” Additionally, the centerspread engraving, "An Anglo-Rebel Prison - Hold of the British Pirate Steamer Alabama, Capt. Semmes, in Which Were Confined ...." shows the Federal officers chained in the hull of the ship. Fascinating British reference to this famous Confederate ship.
