A pair of mounted albumen photographs, each 12" x 4" to larger mounts. Each image shows dozens of native Crow Indians outside a missionary. Most of the natives are in white man's clothing. nd, c1900, np. In the early 1900s, the Crow people were adapting to reservation life, including the federal educational mandates that often meant Indian children attended faraway boarding schools. To keep their children at home, the Crow tribal leaders invited the American Baptist Home Missionary Society (ABHMS) to start a day schools.
