Autograph Letter Signed "Dr. S. Beaty" to Martin B. Kay, Cotton Grove Tennessee, 1pp. Datelined Sulpher Dell (TN), Sept. 15, 1855. In part, "In regards to the Negro Woman, of whom you speak, I will say that I do not remember when long she was sick but not as long perhaps as represented I thought at first her disease was Gonorrhea, but was mistaken. Leucorrhea was her disease when I left there ... Very Respectively, Yor Dr. S.Beaty". The original cover is present.
