A complete and authentic issue of The Globe Semi Weekly, Washington, February 7, 1835, disbound. From the interior "Assassin" running 1-3/4 columns we have a detailed report by Dr.'s Causin and Sewall regarding the mental condition of the Richard Lawrence, "now confined in the county jail for an attempt to assassinate the President of the United States." This is a lengthy and direct examination of Lawrence who responds to questions of his age, source of pistols, why he wanted to assassinate Jackson, was he in fear when Jackson attacked him with a cane ....and much more. There are also two "Cash For Negroes" one ad looking for 400, the other looking for 200.
