BELKNAP William Worth (1829-1890) was a lawyer, soldier in the Union Army, government administrator in Iowa, and the 30th United States Secretary of War, serving under President Ulysses S. Grant. Belknap was impeached on March 2, 1876, for his role in the trader post scandal. Three letters signed all signed “W.W.Belknap” to include, Autograph Letter Signed, November 14, 1872 regarding travel plans . ... plus, Document Signed, February 16, 1871 on a legal matter .. ... plus, Letter Signed February 4, 1874 as Sectretary of War to another Secretary. All three are framed together in a two-sided frame.
