c. 1865, Fine. This excellent quality Color-tinted Tintype Photograph measures about 2.5" x 3.5". Its image shows the Drummer Boy standing full length, in his uniform wearing a Kepi and wearing his Civil War vintage drum, holding his drum sticks in each hand as if prepared for playing his drums. His cheeks have been nicely color tinted to appear as flesh. The are some thin angled chips of the image emulsion from the right lower edge just across the bottom of the drum which is not very distracting. Overall, the contrast and sharpness of the image is distinct having pleasing eye appeal and is excellent for display.
