The eight points brass pinback, 1-1/4", displays Roberts in a center-placed photo. The back has text, "1900 South African War". This was a result of his victory in the Second Anglo-Boer War, South Africa.Field Marshal Frederick Sleigh Roberts, (1832-1914), 1st Earl Roberts, VC, KG, KP, GCB, OM, GCSI, GCIE, VD, PC, FRSGS was a British Victorian-era general who became one of the most successful British military commanders of his time.
