c. 1876 American Centennial, President George Washington Portrait Engraving, Drawn by H. Bone, Signed by engraver J. A. J. Wilcox, Choice Very Fine. This wonderful Engraving measures 3.25" x 2.75" with large margins and been backed for the overall size of 13.25" x 10.25". Signed by the engraver in the bottom right hand corner in pencil. Washington's bust is seen dressed in his best attire. Originally drawn in 1796, this was an engraving made possibly for the Centennial of the United States. Light foxing on the outer card margins, not affecting the central Portrait Engraving itself. Scarce and signed by the American engraver "J. A. J. Wilcox" in the blank field at lower right.
